The UCI Neuromechanics lab is currently recruiting PhD students to start their graduate studies in the 2025-26 academic year. If you are interested in applying, please reach our to Dr. Daley (madaley@uci.edu) with an email explaining your research interests and experience. Please also read through the information below on the PhD programs. We can accept students through multiple programs, but note that you must apply separately for each program you are interested in. The admissions processes are completely separate. In all cases you would conduct PhD research in the areas of integrative neuromuscular physiology, biomechanics of movement, and/or comparative animal locomotion; however, the different programs have differing coursework requirements alongside the dissertation research.
